Students Selection Criteria

Students are selected for admission according to their merit in the last exam. Priority is given to fresh students and students who have opted for the subjects of Arts in the HSCE According to the University rules we maintain the admission quotas for SC, ST, OBC(SEBC), Physically Handicapped ,and X Service Men, Transfer cases of student’s parents/guardians are also considered for admission.

Strategies adopted to create access to:

      • Disadvantaged community

Students from the Disadvantaged community are given admission according to the reservation quota.

      • Women

There is no special consideration for girl students as there are many Mahila Colleges in the city. Very small number of girl students approach this college for admission

      • Physically challenged

Physically handicapped students have their quota of Admission.

      • Economically Weaker Sections of the Society

There is the reservation quota for the poor sections from the Socially and Educationally Backward Class students known as not belonging to the creamy layer of the society according to the rules of the state Government.

      • Sports personnel

In cases of the sports personnel having certificates of state or national level, admissions are considered in deserving cases.
